About SD RWA
The SD RWA was officially established on 26th January 2021, following nearly two months of regular coordination and active discussions among the residents. During this period, numerous meetings were held under the leadership and visionary guidance of several dedicated individuals, including Mr. B. N. Jha, Shri Rajinder Kapoor Ji, Shri Piyush Pahwa Ji, Shri Vishnu Sehgal Ji, Shri Sanjay Chadha Ji, Shri Om Prakash Vinayak Ji, and many others who contributed immensely to the formation of the RWA.
Before the establishment of SD RWA, there was no organized management system to oversee the welfare and day-to-day needs of the residential community. Issues such as safety, cleanliness, and community development were unmanaged and lacked coordination. Recognizing this need, the residents united to form a structured and well-planned Residents Welfare Association.
As a symbolic beginning, members of SD RWA organized their first pre-founding event under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan on 24th January 2021, just two days before the official launch. The event saw enthusiastic participation from women, senior citizens, youth, and children-demonstrating a strong community spirit and a shared commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
Official Inauguration
On 26th January 2021, SD RWA was formally inaugurated through a Republic Day celebration, marking a proud and historic milestone for all residents. Since then, the RWA has been operating with a clear, structured approach to improve the quality of life in the community.
Like any newly formed organization, SD RWA faced several challenges both during and after its formation. From handling local disturbances to establishing order, the journey was not without difficulties. However, with determination and the consistent support of the Delhi Police, these challenges were gradually overcome, and peace and discipline were restored.
Security Enhancements - CCTV Surveillance
As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance community security, the RWA planned and successfully implemented the installation of 52 CCTV cameras throughout the premises, supported by a 24x7 control room. This important security upgrade was inaugurated on 27th February 2022 by the Delhi Police, North West District Team.
Present Status
Today, SD RWA stands as a symbol of unity, discipline, and collective effort. With a strong focus on transparency, security, and development, the association continues to work diligently to make the community a cleaner, safer, and more organized place for all its residents.
